A Holistic Take on Life
Ahmedabad is hovering on the brink of summer and with a certain virus causing mayhem, the idea of spending summer 2020 at home is gaining popularity. .
While some of you may be disappointed, Team The Open Slate couldn’t be happier! Because we’ve found ways to make our summer fun while focussing on a healthier lifestyle that is organic and sustainable.
Growing vegetables in our own little farm, learning to create gardens, gathering family and friends for late-evening team games or going for long bicycle rides, we’ve curated activities that take us a few steps closer to holistic wellbeing, our summer mantra. .
We are stoked to be sharing these activities with you in our March-special trend story
Organic wellbeing: the new #summermantra
1. Making Life Organic
Team TOS’ never-ending hunt for all things homegrown and organic has led us to two unique initiatives – River Farm and Ayuda Organics.
River Farm(@the_river_farm ) is the ideal space for Amdavadis who want to grow their food. At this project, renters are allotted a piece of land where they can sow and cultivate seasonal produce of choice. Come harvest time, renters get to take home not just theirproduce but that grown by other renters’ too! .
Anil Patel’s baby Ayuda Organic(@ayudaorganics ) is the one-stop shop for all things organic – from groceries to household supplies and wellness supplements. Interestingly, all the fresh produce at Ayuda Organics stores come from their own farms. The company also has its own gaushala, their source for pure dairy products. Talk about farm fresh!
