An ode to food & motherhood
What do you do when placed under house arrest during pregnancy? Sleep, read, binge on Netflix…OR cook up a storm in the kitchen and share those recipes with the world! Natasha Patel Nema did just that and the result is ‘Love at First Bite’.
Love at First Bite has something for everyone – the first time cook, the quick-meal cook or the home cook looking for some inspiration. Salads, sweets, soups, pulses and lentils, curries, salans, and the author’s take on continental fare fill the pages of this beautifully created book.
A Beetroot Halwa or simple Summer Salad, the interesting Any Man Can Cook Soup, a Patel Khichdi and Chawli Sabji Patel Style – the names are proof that the recipes have been curated by a home cook who treasures traditions. Her love for photography is evident in the series of travel photographs interspersed with the recipes and food photographs – all clicked by Natasha herself.
Dedicated to son Kabir, ‘Love at First Bite’ will make you fall in love at first sight (pun intended) as you flip through vibrant pages of 52 recipes. In her own words, Natasha’s recipe book has pages that are “…results of my experiments with my sweet tooth, and more.” And rightly so.
‘Love at First Bite’ is available for sale on Amazon India.
